as of this point, strohl still doesn't have his coat and he has loosened his jabot like an inch or two, and is laying flat on his back, like three beers in. vi is also allowed to drink tonight it's fine... just tonight... we're not letting you quit cold turkey girl stop trying to hurt yourself ]
[ she loves this fort. she's also like... way further in drinkwise than he is because she has to, in order to get drunk, but it's fine. absently grinning. ]
He shouldn't. Like, damn, I didn't know you had a thing for her that bad.
Good. Keep it that way, she'll eat you alive. I know the type of girl she is. [ says vi who has uhauled with like one whole woman in her life. she is not an expert ]
[ all of you are getting dragged to (mumbles) kitchen for stress cooking. we're doing a curative coney roast and some potatoes and some other stuff for a dinner! a classic down home euchronian meal with lots of fresh veggies and meat and all kinds of good stuff yay.
everyone is being instructed to different veggie tasks. hulkenberg is in charge of chopping carrots, and he sticks a potato and a peeler in vi's hands, and then sighs. his emotions are just. exhausted. complicated. exhausted. his fucking meows. ]
[ "all of you" there are two of us. but ok hulkenberg has zero resistance to being dragged, and will settle into the kitchen with the familiar task. just. what the fuck! the energy here is agitated, boggled, tired. frustrated.
but, somehow, now that the shock of the end of trial has worn off... there's not necessarily surprise there.
strohl's emotions are. complicated. messy. frustration and annoyance, empathy, grief, worry like a fist to the gut, and a gnawing sense of wrongness. bitterness. guilt. and then, under that - longing, because strohl would give just about anything to be in that room right now with his teammates.
he is scowling down at the raw meat on the cutting board in front of himself once he's sure everyone's washed their hands. also yes everyone can have a drink to nurse, but that's it. we're not going cold turkey entirely that was bad for vi in the first place. ]
... Such a small margin; I'd not be surprised if there's a reason why it came out that way.
[ it's so frustrating, in a sense, that these things keep happening. every system is broken but this one even more so. you'd think having this retributive kills would make him, sir justice, feel better, but they don't. ]
[ AGGRESSIVELY PEELS POTATOES she is. silent, but the emotions are surly and pissed off. guilty, too, because she knows the reasons she's mad aren't valid. still. it's not very much more complicated than that, at least. other than the isolated feeling again but that's smothered under the annoyance.
she doesn't say anything at all or even really acknowledge the other two, just focused on her task. even with the drink she's agitated and headachey. the vibes are rancid as fuck, it's like being next to a whirlpool of Bad. ]
[ hi again. later, after the meal prep and therapy time bc that pc was set immediately after trial and this one i got the deets from was after that pc. ]
I've an answer to what happened to Asuka and Astolfo. Neither were possessed, nor were their killers.
Astolfo, Matsuoka, and Nanase were all up Thursday night together. Nanase and Matsuoka worked together to kill Asuka, with Astolfo stating that they were there to make sure nothing happened to them, before Matsuoka killed Astolfo.
'Twas all attempts to get achievements. Matsuoka and Nanase were apparently adamant and "wouldn't have it any other way."
[ wE'RE SO NORMAL ABOUT THIS give him a bit. anyway. once he's screamed into a pillow or something give him like ten minutes to be worried about his DUMB TEAMMATE and his DUMB BOYFRIEND ]
[ hulkenberg meanwhile just waiting patiently for a reaction like this is exactly what i expected. ]
Possibly.
They overheard the two of them discussing achievements from their game, and others that were known of from other participant experience. Apparently there was overlap, and, among them, killing your teammate was something they hypothesised. So Astolfo volunteered.
[ we have other threads but it is imperative that i do not suffer this knowledge alone i say like the meows didn't trip over themselves to show everybody this
but vi texts them pictures of these a little later in the day:
The Client is the auditors group, and even in their deaths the force majeure seems to have kept things overall running. Whoever the Provider of the airport is, I would be interested to give them a piece of my mind and my blade, considering they agreed upon the purposes given.
But the good news is the substitutions portion, I think. While the trip to Australia is stated to be final, if the others are able to finish the training and whatnot that 'twas mentioned by Carl and listed on the kiosk... 'twould not be so final after all.
Perhaps if we DID send the horse to Australia instead, 'twould be against its advertised condition, yes?

My thoughts:
