Well... if I'm to recall correctly, you and I may face many of the same duties someday. I was thinking perhaps all the teams could try to work together to put on a soiree of sorts - something a bit more formal than what we've done so far. I've not got all that much experience with planning things like this, but I think if we all put our heads together we may be able to put on something nice, yeah? Plus it's a show of solidarity. I expect it all to go pear shaped with this group, but that's alright, too.
You've fine taste, and I think you'd be an excellent aid to the cause. What do you say?
I think that could be fun. Even more so if it's with this group. A chance to dress up, dance, and enjoy refreshments, without the stuffiness and social expectations.
Precisely. I knew you were the right person - we're on the same page.
I was thinking the ballroom of the hotel. Rupert mentioned it was a fine place for these things, and the decor's quite nice, on the inside. We'll have to set up excellent directions and mark off places where people ought not go in the hallways regarding those doors, but I've a plan to deal with that, I think...Shouldn't be too hard with a bit of creativity.
I got Hulkenberg's team to donate some points to buy the catering option from the shop with some of their points, as well, but that's about as far as I've currently gotten.
All good thoughts - do you have anything you might like to tackle? I've drawn up sort of an invitation with help from Rupert, but otherwise, I'll trust your expertise anywhere you'd like.
Bearzatti also suggested leaning into a festival atmosphere so as not to alienate those who perhaps aren't as formal. Ace, I imagine, will be nigh impossible to wrestle into a buttoned shirt, just as an example.
Perhaps we could take use of the gardens, as well - in that case, maybe a bonfire would be well appreciated...? The last festival I attended left me with fond memories, so to replicate some of that atmosphere might get us the best of both worlds. Drinks, as well. Jonas is quite good with that kind of thing, maybe we could ask? Though I don't want him to have to play bartender; I know he'll take the opportunity to do so if given it. Pre-planning for our usual games people tend to enjoy may be wise, too... Maybe we ought to have a defibrillator on site. Hah.
Do you mean in the gardens here at the airport? It seems a bit far... I suppose we could manage, although if we wanted to, we could hypothetically purchase a fully-equipped venue, with ballroom and gardens.
[ when kate says they have points to spare, she does mean it... ]
I've never been to a festival back home, so I'm afraid I know little of what that is like... What sorts of things would we need for that?
Fully equipped? Good lord... Your generosity's incredible, Miss Kate. Well - since we've already set the ballroom, maybe we can blend the idea. Could I ask you to be in charge of a set of gardens to add on, if that's able to be done...? If not, there's an outdoor space on the same floor as the ballroom itself that may work just as well, with a nice mountain view. Lots of clean, fresh air.
As for the festival - Bearzatti said a slightly more casual experience. I think a bonfire would be a necessity. Music, much like we'd have in the main area. My team'll likely do something, sort of like those little booth experiences you all had while I was on the other side. An area for people to sit and chat, perhaps? If I'd had the foresight, I would've asked Eupha for advice for the moment she was here...
[ also just let me know at some point today whatever stuff you end up grabbing and i can throw it in the post! i'll run it by you later before party also ♥ ]

Have you given any thought to the location?

I quite like the hotel's style, myself.
What else will we need? Perhaps some customized decorations, music, and a source for formalwear. And maybe invitations, too?
