Familiar situation, then. Good to have something familiar on a positive note, for a change.
[ as opposed to you know. death and dying and murder and trials and stuff. yay, buddies!!! ]
Not sure if I'll get used to the idea that we'll be doing this over and over. One of these was enough - though it was the same for us, where everything was all 'cleaned' and we weren't able to see any damage beyond what we had initially the day we had victims. We could at least glean an idea from that. This... we've got to wait until tomorrow, and we're left to question all over. Frustrating.
[ he will not say that he kind of wishes his actual teammates were here instead. no point in ruining the sentiment. ]
You do get used to it, but it doesn't really get easier. [ unfortunately, but he listens with a sort of morbid fascination. ] So it was like that for you, too... Everything magically getting cleaned up is one thing, but we really don't have anything to work off here. Not even locations.
[ which. they only have like three of, technically, but that's not the point. what about when it opens up more? ]
...Yeah. Least this place isn't very big. [ he was not somewhere where things got bigger, though... even if he was, he would've been dead so it didn't matter. ] Hopefully we can divide and conquer, tomorrow.
[ he sighs. ]
No matter what, we'll find the answer. I'd like to speak to the perpetrator to get an idea of what pushed them into it, anyhow - sure, we've learned some of the rules of this game and the expectations, but I suppose I'll not understand the mentality of "kill first, ask questions later".
We're going to have to if we have a chance of figuring it out.
[ pauses. frowning. ]
If it's anything like the Reaper's Game, killing gets more points - more to put toward those milestones, as far as this one goes, so we can bring everyone who dies back later. If that's what it's like, I can't hold it against them.
[ which is a lie he totally can if it's the wrong person. but we'll see. ]
I've heard possession is possible, too. But we'll have to actually catch who did it to find out.
