Someone put the idea into her head that she could offer herself up as a sacrifice to me, then I could bring Vi back with the item, as if either of us would ever be alright with that.
... I sort of ripped her a new one about it, [ they got into a whole ass shouting match actually but it's fine it was cathartic ] but... things were better, after that, I think. For as short as it lasted.
It's like you said - can't control people's feelings about it, one way or another. Place puts us in a pressure cooker on purpose, and the only thing that even begins to fix it is time, which we've none of.
